Here is another crochet project that embodies summer.
I had 3 skeins of Lions Brand medium weight yarn for a while, and I finally created a perfect project for it. Since the yarn is named "Ice Cream" - my new blanket's name will of course be,
Endless Gelato Blanket!

This blanket is an easy crochet project and that will be quick even if your skill level is closer to beginner then to intermediate - the crochet stitches used are only Ch, SC,and DC - all is simple and is a great way to practice your hand!
This blanket is endless like the endless gelato cravings during the hot summer days.
Create a flower for the center, then add row after row until you decide to stop.
The blanket is light and airy with an open weave scalloped texture, that can create a perfect lacey shade for the stroller or carseat in a hot day without obstructing the air flow.

π§The blanket is one continuois granny square and is easy to scale up and down - just stop making rounds when the size is right.
π§You will need soft medium weight yarn and crochet hook 5.0 mm
π§For the blanket size 30β x 30"(76.5 cm x 76.5 cm),you will need 2 skeins of yarn, for the size 40" x 40" (101.5 cm x 101.5 cm) you will need 3 skeins of yarn.

BLion Brand Ice Cream yarn in Ube, 3.5 oz/100g or 394 yd/350 m in a skein
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS BLANKET:
The pattern works great with any weight yarn, from bulky to lace, and the blanket will look stunningly beautiful in any color, multi or solid. (Solid muted color yarn, such as beige or light grey, will add an antique vintage feeling to the blanket. Bright multicolors will make the blanket look bohemian and contemporary)
